I knew we could always bank upon Rahul: Sachin Tendulkar

"He would have been a number three any day in my team. There are so many innings where he batted brilliantly while others around him found it difficult. Whenever there was a challenge I knew we could bank upon Rahul," said Tendulkar.

"You must remember Sachin was seven years senior to me as a cricketer. In my third match Sachin was the captain of India," Dravid said. "He was someone whom young cricketers looked up to. He was an inspiration for all of us. It was a great opportunity to share the dressing room with him.

"I remember Rahul being a part of the Wills Trophy team that I was captain of, but we played in white. That was the first time I saw Rahul. I think it was in 1993-1994. It's a rare moment that we get to play against each other in coloured clothing," said Tendulkar.
