Former India wicketkeeper Farokh Engineer feels bowlers will play a major role in India's bid to retain the World Cup.

Bowling is perceived to be India's biggest weak link with an injury worry for Bhuvneshwar Kumar. India's premier pacer Ishant Sharma was ruled out last week after failing to prove his fitness before the first warm-up match.
"A lot will depend on where our bowlers bowl. They need to bowl according to the field which they have not been doing so far. But if they do that, they will help our batsmen. It will put less pressure on them.
"Every team will be looking to put a minimum of 300 runs on the board. Even after scoring 300, you have got to bowl and field really well to restrict the opposition.
To get 300 is not very easy, but at least that is a minimum requirement during the World Cup. Considering the Australian pitches, fielding will be very important," Engineer said on the sidelines of the annual sports day of JD Bharda High School at Priyadarshini Park yesterday.
