It is learnt that the Kochi franchise is keen on roping in former India captain Sourav Ganguly in the fourth edition of the Indian Premier League.
Ganguly, it may be recalled did not have any takers during the player auction in Bangalore recently. Wasim Jaffer and VRV Singh are the other two Indian players, who were not sold at the auction.
According to a source, Kochi has written to the Indian cricket board asking them whether they can include Ganguly in their set-up.
