"The players should have a strong zeal to form associations (in these countries). All cricket-playing nations should have associations," he said.
"The players' associations in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are not being recognised by their respective boards as of now, but their interests are being taken care by FICA," he added.
May has been a vocal critic of match fixing and had accused Pakistan's captain Salim Malik of unfair practices way back in the 1994-95 season.u00a0
