Nagpur: Riding on Suresh Lokeshwar's (92) unbeaten half century, India U-19 managed to escape to a draw against England U-19 on Day Four of the first Youth Test at VCA Stadium, Jamtha in Nagpur yesterday.
Chasing 238 for a win, after bowling out England for 167 in their second essay, the hosts were reeling at 61-6. But Lokeshwar along with Sijomon Joseph (12) put on a 61-run stand to rescue India.
Earlier, resuming on 23-1 in their second innings, England were bowled out for 189. India had declared on 431-8 on the third day in reply to the England's 501-5 declared.
