Indian U-19 side yesterday created a record for the fastest chase of a total more than 100 when they thrashed Australia U-19 side in the first one-dayer of the quadrangular series here.

Chasing 164, the hosts achieved the target in just 12 overs.

Openers, Manan Vohra and captain Unmukt Chand, took the Aussie bowlers to the cleaners.

Vohra slammed 15 boundaries and two sixes for his 79 off 35 while the skipper's 72 from 40 balls included 11 fours and three sixes.

Brief scores: Aus U-19 163 (J Peirson 51; B Aparajith 5-38) lost to India (M Vohra 79, U Chand 72) by 10 wickets.
