After being shot out for 123 in their first match against the New Zealand colts, Indian batsmen fared a lot better in their second match, scoring 260 in the allotted 50 overs. "It was a nice wicket to bat on with the ball coming on to the bat nicely. It did not have awkward bounce like the wicket of the first match," skipper Unmukt Chand said.
Unmukt and Akhil Herwadkar put on a 105-run stand in 120 balls after losing Manan Vohra early. Unmukt hit three sixes and six fours en route to his 45, while Herwadkar (45) took his time before showing his class.
