India captain Gautam Gambhir won the toss and sent New Zealand in to bat in the fourth one-day international in Bangalore on Tuesday.
The hosts, enjoying an unbeatable 3-0 lead in the five-match series, brought in Saurabh Tiwari, Praveen Kumar and Parthiv Patel in place of Ravindra Jadeja, Munaf Patel and Wriddhiman Saha.
New Zealand replaced Gareth Hopkins with Tim Southee and Kane Williamson with Jamie How.
The fifth and final match will be played in Chennai on Friday.
