India beat Sri Lanka at the Brabourne Stadium earlier this month to get on top of the Test ladder.
Both Dravid and Tendulkar have a deep appreciation for other sports, but India's rise to the top is such a great feat that they couldn't help opting for the sport that they make so very special.
Dravid prefaced the India achievement with "personally speaking" while Tendulkar ended the mention concerning his team with "for sure".
Beyond cricket"In other sports," added Dravid, "it was Roger Federer beating Pete Sampras' record."
In July, Federer clinched his 15th major title when he beat American Andy Roddick in a thrilling five-setter which helped him surpass Sampras' 14 Grand Slams.
The win was even sweeter because he got a grip on the Wimbledon trophy after surrendering it to Spain's Rafael Nadal in 2008. The Swiss won 5-7, 7-6 (8-6), 7-6 (7-5), 3-6, 16-14 to bag his sixth Wimbledon title.
Interestingly, Dravid has featured in a razor blade commercial with Federer. The commercial also had the likes of troubled golfer Tiger Woods and football star Thierry Henry.
Tendulkar was in the stands to watch the 2009 Wimbledon final between Federer and Roddick.
