Opting to bat after winning the toss, England's batsmen struggled to get going as they ended the day at 199-5.u00a0
Former VCA curator Kishore Pradhan predicted the Indian batsmen to struggle as well. "This wicket is an absolute rubbish. It is certainly not a true Test wicket.
It is worse than a patta (flat) wicket. The cracks will further widen as the match progresses," Pradhan told MiD DAY from Nagpur yesterday. "The Indian batsmen too will have a tough time. Batting will become very difficult Day Three onwards. Our batting has struggled in this series. So, this is not an ideal track to get back the confidence.
