Out of the squad after the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy series opener against New Zealand in Perth, Tait, who was bought for USD 350,000 by IPL side Rajasthan Royals early this month, is undergoing a gruelling treatment which involves injecting blood into the affected area of his left hamstring.

"Shaun has sustained a tendon injury to his left hamstring," South Australia physio John Porter was quoted as saying by the 'Adelaide Advertiser'. "Australian team physiotherapist Alex Kountouris and I have been working closely with Shaun on his rehabilitation program, which has included autologous blood injection treatment here in Adelaide.

"He is recuperating well but there is no specified date for his return to cricket," he added. South Australia pacer Tait sustained the hamstring injury during the Ford Ranger Cup game against Queensland in Brisbane on December 3 last year and looks doubtful for the IPL to be held in April-May.
