Abdi claimed Modi would not take the decision lying down and would expose vested interests in the Board. "The entire investigation process was malicious.
A person who was to be a witness in the proceedings was made judge of the inquiry committee. We shall expose the vested interests behind the twisted decision at the right time, " Abdi told MiD DAY.
The Board banned Modi for misconduct and indiscipline at its Special General Meeting after discussing the report of its disciplinary committee.
Ever since the committee found him guilty of misconduct, Modi was prepared for this eventual decision. He had blogged recently: "Do I care about a life ban? I really care less. They can't ever take away what I have created. They can destroy it. But I will keep at them for sure. "
u00a0Abdi said Modi's battle against the BCCI was not over. "We will exercise our right to challenge the inquiry proceedings and its outcome soon," he said.
