Jr Lalu not part of Delhi squad for MI clash

Tejashwi Yadav, son of former Union Railway minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, is a special player for Delhi Daredevils ufffd he's been associated with the Capital team since its inception in 2008, but is yet to get a game in the Indian Premier League (IPL).


Till date, the 22-year-old has only played one first-class match, a couple of List A games and four T20s for Jharkhand. He has scored 20 runs in the solitary first-class game, while 14 and three runs in the List A and T20s respectively.

He has gone wicketless in first-class and T20 matches, and has only one wicket under his belt in List A games. Tejashwi is not part of the Daredevils squad which is in the city to take on Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium today. "Only 20-25 players travel for a match. Tejashwi is still in the squad though and gets paid as agreed upon," a Delhi Daredevils' spokesperson told MiD DAY.

Before the IPL-V commenced, Tejashwi reportedly joined the training camp four days late.u00a0
