KALYAN Centre beat Andheri Centre 3-2 via the tie-breaker to win the22nd Bipin Memorial Football inter-centre tournament at the School Sports Centre, Azad Maidan yesterday. Both teams were locked goalless at full-time.
Vicky Rao (Kalyan) was named 'best player' and also scored in the tie-breaker, apart from Rahul Malviya and Emmanuel Aitawadekar for the winners. Andheri Centre's goals came through Rahul Mogaveera and Nikhil Ahire.
Olympian Joaquim Carvalho, and former national hockey coach, gave away the prizes. Six centres played the round-robin, out of which the top two made the final.
