The Tevez-City saga is getting uglier with each passing day and has now reached new heights with the Argentine contemplating quitting football altogether if City don't let him move away from Eastlands. Tevez, who has made similar tantrums in the past, is adamant he wants a transfer and no amount of money will make him stay.u00a0

In a statement issued on Sunday night, Tevez said his "relationships with certain executives and individuals at the club had broken down and were now beyond repair". The Sun reported that Tevez contacted his lawyer without the knowledge of his advisor Kia Joorabchian to have a transfer request worked out.u00a0 He also reportedly told Joorabchian that he feels so fed up with life at City that he is seriously considering retiring from football altogether.

The reason for Tevez's unrest is that he misses his two children, who live with his estranged wife in Argentina. It seems that there is no chance of them getting back together, but he believes if he moved to a Spanish-speaking country she would also move there with the kids as she refuses to move back to England.

Based on this fact, Real Madrid and Barcelona look hot favourites to snap up the striker if and when City let him go.u00a0
