India were 15 for three at tea after losing the toss on the second day of the second Test against England at Lord's on Friday. Virat Kohli, the India captain, was on three not out after being involved in the run-out of Cheteshwar Pujara. Rain, which washed out Thursday's play without a ball bowled, meant only 40 minutes' cricket had been possible so far on the second day.

Frustratingly for a large crowd, and groundsman Mick Hunt, overseeing his final Test match before retiring at the end of the season after 49 years on the Lord's staff, the showers at the 'home of cricket' were accompanied by bright sunshine. England lead the five-match series 1-0 after a 31-run win in the first Test at Edgbaston last week.
