Harbhajan Singh got the loudest cheer from Mumbaikars when he came onto bowl for the first time against the Ranji Trophy champions on Day Two in the Irani Cup tie at the Wankhede yesterday

Bhajji is very popular here, thanks to his Mumbai Indians connection - he was the team's skipper in the last edition of the Indian Premier League.

‘The Turbanator' received a similar reception during the second Test between India and England at the same venue in November. Later in the day however, the off-spinner seemed to have been irked by some fans' comments from the North Stand. Suresh Raina, standing next to him in the slips, asked his Rest of India skipper to ignore the banter.

It's not Tendulkar...
Once Mumbai opener Wasim Jaffer was dismissed, there was a huge cheer from the motley crowd in anticipation of batting legend Sachin Tendulkar's arrival at the crease. The roar only got louder as the wait grew longer. Unfortunately, the crowd ended up disappointed as nightwatchman Shardul Thakur walked in instead of Tendulkar.

Vijay shakes a leg
Murali Vijay, representing Rest of India, seemed to be in an entertaining mood towards the end of Day Two at the Wankhede Stadium. Vijay, who provided good entertainment to the crowd on Day One with a fine century, was yesterday seen practicing a few dance moves while fielding at gully. Raina noticed this and the two shared a good laugh.u00a0
