"Now that the West Indies tour is confirmed, we have sent a letter to the Indian board to give us Tendulkar's 200th Test as this is his home ground.u00a0
"It is a momentous feat and it would be extra special if the match is played at the Wankhede Stadium," MCA Joint Honorary Secretary Nitin Dalal told MiD DAY.
West Indies is scheduled to play two Tests, three ODIs and a warm-up game in India between October 31 and November 27.
Although Mumbai is not entitled to host any Test match till next year according to the BCCI's rotation policy, MCA is hoping to get a special consideration for Tendulkar's grand feat.
Cricket Association of Bengal is going all out to get the match ever since the decision was taken in the Board's Working Committee meeting last Sunday in Kolkata.
It may be recalled Tendulkar, who is on 198 Tests, finally fulfilled his long-awaited dream of winning the World Cup in 2011 at the Wankhede Stadium.u00a0
