Mumbai T20 league is back on track after concerns over legality and tax eased out during yesterday's Managing Committee meeting of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). Mumbai T20 league organisers Probability Sports wanted clarity on the legal front after former MCA president Ravi Savant warned about losing tax exemptions and inviting legal trouble since this committee is not authorised to take a decision on organising the league.

However, during yesterday's meeting, MCA's legal advisors gave a green signal to conduct the league. To steer clear from the taxation trouble, the MCA will maintain a separate account for the Mumbai T20 league. The MCA will now evaluate the consortium and bid documents before finalising the auction date. While the MCA officials are confident about Probability Sports' readiness to stage the event as proposed from January 4 to 9, several sources in the MCA have indicated that it would indeed be a miracle if the league is held as per schedule. They believe that time left is very short to stage the league with so many processes and formalities involved.
