Champions Manchester City went in level at half-time with Stoke in Saturday's English Premier League clash at the Britannia Stadium courtesy of a debut goal from Javi Garcia.

City have struggled away against the Potters in recent seasons and fell behind in the 15th minute on Saturday, Peter Crouch - scorer of a memorable strike in this fixture last term - showing good footwork before finishing past Joe Hart. The visitors made it 1-1 in the 35th minute as midfielder Garcia, one of three players in the City line-up making their bow for the club, headed in Carlos Tevez's cross.u00a0

Meanwhile, The hysteria surrounding Anton Ferdinand's non-handshake with John Terry failed to translate itself into goals at Loftus Road on Saturday afternoon, with QPR and Chelsea playing out a 0-0 draw in the derby. The Blues failed to score for the first time in the new season, but a clean sheet, means they maintain their unbeaten start.
