While Dhoni's men bask in glory, Avighna India's MiD DAY corporate tourney enters pre-quarters
While the whole of India was celebrating the national team's World Cup win, a few fans from the city's corporate sector managed to find time to display their skills in Avighna India's MiD DAY Corporate Cricket Tournament held in Bhavan's College, Andheri, over the weekend.

On Saturday, the competition wrapped up its group stage as Diebold System Pvt Ltd, Datamatics Global Services Ltd and Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd made it to the pre-quarters.
Omnitech Info Solutions Ltd chose to field against Diebold System Pvt Ltd and their decision backfired.
Diebold System piled on 104 for five in 10 overs and in reply, Omnitech could only manage 63 for six, thanks to some tidy bowling by Laxmikant who won the best bowler prize.
Datamatics Global Services chased down 91 to beat Serco BPO with Sachin Vishwakarma scoring seven-ball 20.
Larsen and Toubro smashed 127 for seven in 10 overs against Cachet Pharmaceuticals who were restricted to 56 for nine. Vinit was adjudged man of the match for his unbeaten 33.
In the pre-quarters, Dainik Bhaskar Group was shown the door by HP who chased down a modest score of 67 comfortably.
Edelweiss Capital Ltd's disciplined bowling helped them see off Star DEN's challenge. After posting a competitive 83 on board, Edelweiss' pair of Sajjan, adjudged the best bowler of the match, and Mayuresh gave away just 13 runs and in return picked up three prized scalps.
Future Group thrashed Multiscreen Media Ltd by 60 runs. Jalish Shaikh (34) and Bhavesh (22) powered Future Group to 110 for 6. In reply, Multiscreen Media could only manage 51 for nine. Shailesh, Sharad and Nitin took three wickets each.
Shinrai Toyota scraped past Percept Ltd by four wickets, chasing down 79 in 8.4 overs.
In the final game of the day, Intellenet swept aside Aegon Religare, beating them by five wickets.
Chasing a target of 50 runs, Rishikesh's quick fire 30 helped them reach the total in just five overs.
