Hughes, who played 26 Tests, died in November 2014 after he was hit on the neck by a rising ball during a domestic match in Sydney. He would have turned 28 yesterday, and Clarke posted this picture of his daughter Kelsey Lee, holding a candle with a photograph of Hughes on it.

"Happy Birthday, Uncle Phillip," Clarke captioned the picture. Australia opener David Warner also wished late Hughesy. "Happy birthday, little man," wrote Warner alongside a picture that read: "May the angels sing to you the most joyous of chorus of Happy Birthday today. Rest peacefully"
