Pakistan appointed Shahid Afridi captain for the limited over series against South Africa later this month and recalled batsman Misbah-ul-Haq to lead in the two Tests next month.
Afridi led the team in the 2-3 defeat against England last month, but Pakistan Cricket Board deferred the announcement of the captain on Thursday. A 16-man Test squad was also announced Friday. Pakistan play two Twenty20, five one-day and two Tests against South Africa in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
