Indian women's cricket team skipper Mithali Raj strongly urged her fans to respect women and their struggles as part of her message on Independence Day yesterday.
"May we celebrate our diversity and embrace our syncretism, respect our champion women and their struggles. Let's pledge to make a nation that we all can be proud of and love and admire for its humanity. Happy Independence Day," the Hyderabadi said in a video on Twitter yesterday.
