Mumbai's Indians have yet to receive any communication from India Premier League's Governing Council 24 hours since the GC's reply to the franchise's letter dated January 20. Mumbai Indians had objected to how the auction was conducted in January.

In its reply, the GC said on Friday: "The procedure followed in this year's auction is exactly the same as was done in all the previous IPL auctions.u00a0 Representatives of all franchises including Mumbai Indians had read the auction briefing note prepared by the International Management Group, which included the changes referred to and signed the same in acceptance before the auction. The GC reiterates that the auction was transparent and fair."

Evidently, MI is not pleased. "We haven't received any communication from the BCCI. We maintain that there is no justification to the last-minute changes that were introduced just few hours before the auction briefing," an official of Mumbai Indians told SUNDAY MiD DAY. In reply, a top BCCI official said: "If Mumbai Indians had problems then they should have opposed it there itself. They didn't have enough money on Day Two of the auction and that is why they are crying foul now."
