"Apparently, my son has started to take the game seriously after I retired. It is amazing to see that," he said while launching ESPNcricinfo's new book Talking Cricket yesterday.
Laxman reiterated that he had no regrets with the timing of his retirement in August last year. "Initially, my aim was to beat Australia in Australia, but unfortunately we had a very poor series.
"I could have easily played against England and Australia but I thought it would be better to give a youngster a chance to play 10 Tests at home before India's South Africa tour," said Laxman, who will be commentating during the second Test here.
Meanwhile, the Hyderabad Cricket Association has placed a collage of Laxman's photographs inside the Indian team dressing room. u00a0
