Former Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) Managing Committee member Nadim Memon has decided to take legal recourse against current Managing Committee member Shah Alam Shaikh.
Nadim Memon
According to Memon, Shah Alam is a resident of Kharghar which is in Raigad district. "It is quite clear in the MCA's rule book that one has to be a resident of Mumbai or Thane in order to be eligible for MCA election. I have decided to approach the court for justice," Memon said yesterday.
The first hearing in the matter will be held today at the City Civil court. Memon lost the election by two votes for the Managing Committee post in the June 17 MCA polls.
Shah Alam said: "Memon is desperate to get into the MCA again and that is why he has targeted me. I am confident that my documents are correct as per the MCA election rules."
