The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has once again deferred the announcement of the senior team's coach
The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has once again deferred the announcement of the senior team's coach.
The Managing Committee, which met to conduct interviews of coaches, has decided to consult the newly-appointed chief selector of the senior panel Sandeep Patil before arriving at a decision on April 25.
Apart from Ajit Agarkar, who was not in the city, and Vinayak Mane, all other candidates for the Mumbai coach job (Paras Mhambrey, Balvinder Singh Sandhu, Rahul Mankad, Praveen Amre, Sairaj Bahutule and Sandeep Dahad) gave a presentation to the Managing Committee, it is learnt.
"We only conducted interviews today. There are still a few who could not make it due to prior commitments. A final announcement will be made on April 25. We will also consult Sandeep Patil before arriving on a final decision on selection of coach," MCA's Joint Honorary Secretary Dr PV Shetty said.
