Niall O'Brien, the brother of Irish star batsman, Kevin who scored a match-winning hundred against England last week, not only finds himself without his bats, he is also without the bat which was presented to him recently by India southpaw Suresh Raina, who has yet to make his World Cup debut.
Niall found a bag of bats missing after Sunday's game against India.
In his FIR addressed to Cubbon Park Police Station (a copy of which is with MiD DAY), Niall even mentioned the colour of the bat handles.

"The bag contains five Gray Nicholls bats ufffd three with yellow handle, one with white handle, plus one with green handle and 1 SG bat given to me by Suresh Raina with orange handle. Four of the bats have identifiable shaved shoulders to make them easy to identify," the FIR said. The wicketkeeper-batsman valued the lost bats at 2000 pounds.
