Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie says that there is no excuse for the club's 8-2 thrashing in their Premier League clash with Manchester United on Sunday.
Van Persie, however, claimed that the team, which was missing eight first-team players, gave its best shot.u00a0
"This was the strongest team we had. We gave our maximum and it was not enough," the Sun quoted Van Persie, as saying.
"We can't hide behind injuries or suspensions. It's not an excuse," he added
