India's opening batsman Gautam Gambhir has tested negative for swine flu before Saturday's second Twenty20 international against Sri Lanka.
"Gambhir's test report is negative and there is nothing to worry," GS Walia, joint secretary of the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA), said. Gambhir was quarantined in his hotel room on Saturday morning and his throat and nasal swab samples were sent for tests.u00a0 The team's video analyst, Dhananjay, was also quarantined while team manager Mayank Parekh was admitted in a private hospital with flu symptoms. Both Dhananjay and Parekh have also tested negative.
"Reports of Dhananjay and Parekh have also come negative. Except Sreesanth, no player from India or Sri Lanka has flu- like symptoms," Walia added.
