India pacer Mohammad Shami's contribution to Team India thrashing New Zealand by 178 runs in the 2nd Test match at Kolkata's Eden Gardens was vital. His six wickets in the match, three each in first and second innings helped India not only seal the three-match series but also reclaim the top spot in Test rankings from arch-rvials Pakistan.
Shami, who is a Bengal lad, took the final wicket of Kiwi tailender Trent Boult to signal India's ascension to the top of the Test rankings.

But what India didn't know while celebrating the victory in their 250th home Test was that Shami had put up a brave front and weated it out in the middle even as his 14-month old daughter Aira was being treated by doctors in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a Kolkata hospital.
According to media reports, Shami's daughter, Aira, who had high fever and had trouble breathing, had been admitted to a Kolkata hospital and moved to the ICU on October 2. Shami was informed about her medical condition at the end of day 2 and would rush to be by his daughter's side at the end of play each day.
Thankfully, Aira was discharged on Monday
And when Twitterati came to know if this, they couldn't help but salute this 'hero'
