Misbah-ul-Haq and Mohammad Hafeez, Pakistan's respective skippers in the ODI and T20 versions of the game have said they will count on pace to beat India in the upcoming series.
"I believe the pacers selected in the squads have the potential to upset the Indians in their own backyard," said Hafeez, adding that tall left-arm pacer Mohammad Irfan would be a "surprise package" in the two-match T20 series.
Misbah felt the series is a great opportunity for the team's new faces to go on and make a name for themselves.u00a0"For the pace bowlers, it's a great opportunity to shine and establish themselves in the team because a series against India is always followed very closely by everyone," said Misbah who will lead Pakistan in the three ODIS.

The two squads feature a number of pacers including Umar Gul, Junaid Khan, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Irfan, Anwar Ali, Asad Ali and Sohail Tanvir.u00a0"I'm confident we have the team to beat India and win both the series," said Hafeez.
T20 rescheduled
Meanwhile, the BCCI announced yesterday that the second T20 international between the two countries that was scheduled to be played at the at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Motera, in Ahmedabad on December 27u00a0has been rescheduled to December 28.u00a0The rest of the itinerary of the India-Pakistan series is unchanged, said a BCCI press release.
