Australia batsman Phil Hughes failed to make an impression for the fourth time in the series yesterday

The New South Welshman, who could manage only six and 0 in the first Test in Chennai, was dismissed for a duck on Day Three of the Hyderabad Test when, looking to sweep a R Ashwin delivery, got too far across and discovered the ball rolling on to the stumps viau00a0his glove.

Phil Hughes, who failed miserably

Hughes perished to the same bowler in the first innings on Day One after taking 84 minutes for his 19. Ashwin has now claimed Hughes on three occasions.
For a country which has had some top achievers coming in at one-drop, Hughes is certainly not living up to a great legacy.

Two of his three Test tons came in the Durban Test against South Africa in 2009 while his last came in Colombo on Australia's 2011 tour of Sri Lanka. All these memorable innings came as an opener.

Time for a rethink, tour selectors?u00a0
