World Cup-winning India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is all set to build a cricket centre and school in his hometown of Ranchi.

Currently, on a break, following the Indian Premier League and choosing not to go to West Indies for T20 and ODI-leg of the tour, Dhoni is believed to have met up with Jharkhand State government officials to discuss his ambitious plans a few days ago.
u00a0Dhoni is planning a school at his farmhouse in an area called Simalia along with a practice pitch where he plans to train during his off days. A source close to the skipper told MiD DAY: "He is planning to build a cricket coaching centre, besides a school for children, where some of the best educational facilities will be provided."
Dhoni's cricket academy will be built with the support of the Jharkhand Government. The state's Deputy Chief Minister Sudesh Mahato has already agreed to give Dhoni six acres of land for the purpose.
A source said: "Everything is ready and we are only waiting for Jharkhand Chief Minister (Arjun Munda) to return from his international trip. Once he is back, all the official work will proceed. Dhoni has always wanted to do something for his home town and is very serious about his school."
