Queensland Cricket has given a clean chit to Andrew Symonds on the Brisbane bar incident, saying the all-rounder did nothing which was unacceptable.

Media reports had alleged that Symonds was shown the door of the bar when he accidentally broke a glass, was stumbling and calling out boisterously to friends.

QC chief executive Graham Dixon said they found nothing wrong on part of Symonds. "Based on our inquiries and information we have received, there was nothing to indicate that what took place was outside of acceptable team boundaries," Dixon said in a statement.

"The players were out of cricket hours, were in a social group with their partners and conducted themselves responsibly," he added. Bulls skipper Chris Simpson, who was also at the bar celebrating the end of the Sheffield Shield season, also backed Symonds.

"As far as I am concerned, we were responsible across the evening. We were enjoying ourselves as a group and when management politely approached us to ask us to finish up, we did so.

"Reports that Andrew broke a glass are wrong and personally I don't consider that he was loud and boisterous," Simpson said.
