Hours after the team for the Ranji Trophy semi-final against Madhya Pradesh was selected on Tuesday, Mumbai's flamboyant batsman and former captain Suryakumar Yadav took to Twitter to express his displeasure over a selection.

Yadav tweeted: "Sad to see match winners being dropped from champion side. Not a good sign for future. Soft target rate rising. #RanjiTrophy"
It is learnt that Yadav, an important member of the team, did not agree with the dropping of Mumbai opener Jay Bista for the crucial clash in Cuttack from February 13.
Bista was axed by the selectors after flopping with the bat in the quarter-final against Jharkhand where he scored nine and 14.

However, Bista did well with his off-spin, claiming five for 16 to help Mumbai progress to the semis. In the Ranji Trophy league stage, Bista scored 175 runs in six innings which included a half-century against Madhya Pradesh, who are now Mumbai's semi-final opponents. The reason being projected for Bista's dropping is that he is in the side for his batting prowess.
Coach Chandrakant Pandit was quick to quash rumours of discontent in the Mumbai camp. "Everyone will have an opinion about something (selection matters). Everyone is matured enough here. Ultimately, the leader leads the team and everyone follows his lead," said Pandit.
