West Indies' swashbuckling batsman has made his love for football well known but very few are aware of the Caribbean cricketer's favourite football club.

Chris Gayle's recent post on photo sharing website Instagram creates quite a stir as he made his intentions clear to 'sign' with his favourite club - Manchester United.

His post read, 'Meeting went well with the new manager...once I get my terms then I will sign with @manchesterunited'

Did he actually have a chat with Jose Mourinho? Is he intending to leave cricket?

Well, only the great Gayle would know that. Even if his intention was to pull a fast one on his fans, it worked.
