Former Indian Premier League commissioner Lalit Modi accused BCCI president N Srinivasan of orchestrating the retention policy to suit his side Chennai Super Kings.

This year, the number of retentions were increased from four to five. ‘Right To Match' option gives the franchise a right to retain six players from their previous squad.

"Case and point is the recent retention policy orchestrated by Srini for his own agenda and that is we know what," Modi wrote on Twitter yesterday.

CSK - the most successful IPL franchise - retained skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Ravichandran Ashwin, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo.
