Dubai: Wriddhiman Saha and Rohit Sharma have made notable gains and climbed up the ladder in the latest ICC player rankings for Test batsmen, although none of the Indians figure in the top-10 list.
Saha's unbeaten knocks of 54 and 58, and Rohit's second-innings contribution of 82 not only enabled India to win the second match of the ongoing three-Test series against New Zealand and take an unassailable 2-0 lead but also helped them earn huge ranking points.
Saha has gained 18 slots to reach 56th place, while Rohit has moved up 14 spots to 38th position in the batsmen's list, which is headed by Australian captain Steve Smith.
