In what is reminiscent of the Jaipur pitch controversy of last year's IPL, Rajasthan Royals are pointing fingers at the Wankhede stadium ground staff for their defeat to Mumbai Indians on Wednesday.

Rajasthan Royals wicketkeeper Sreevats Goswami on Thursday alleged that the track was changed without informing their team.

"They changed the wicket (at the last moment) without informing us," Goswami told media persons on the sidelines of his team's nets at the Eden Gardens here.

Speaking on the eve of Royals' match against Kolkata Knight Riders, Goswami claimed that the Wankhede ground staff were rolling a different wicket, "which we were told would be used for the match".

However, he claimed before the game the strip was changed "without informing us".

"Rahul bhai opted to bowl without knowing that a different surface would be used," Goswami said.

The Royals lost the game by 27 runs as they were bowled out for 170 in 19.4 overs in reply to Mumbai's 197 for six.u00a0
