TO bowl out a team like Mumbai for 366 on its home turf is a commendable performance. It's even more noteworthy if the architect of the rout happens to be a 16-year-old.

That is what young Tamil Nadu left-arm spinner Aushik Srinivas achieved yesterday in the Super League Group

A game played at the Bandra-Kurla Complex.

An icing on the cake for Srinivas was that Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar was present to pat his back for taking his first seven-wicket haul (39.1-12-107-7).

"What better way to get your first fifer than against the Ranji champions. And, if that is not heady enough then he got a legend like Sachin's autograph on the ball with which he achieved it," Tamil Nadu coach W V Raman told MiD DAY.

"I saw Sachin at the ground and since it was Srinivas' first five-wicket haul, I requested him to autograph the ball for the boy," added Raman.

"He is bowling the length of yesteryear spinners; making the ball hit the top half of the bat than the lower half. Those six inches make the difference," said former India opener Raman.
