Mumbai Indians skipper Sachin Tendulkar could also be a casualty after he was fined for slow over rate in yesterday's game. Indian Premier League CEO Sundar Raman tweeted that Tendulkar has been fined for slow over rate and this is his second offence.

As per the rules, a third offence consists of a USD 50,000 fine and a one-match ban. The second offence is made up of a USD 40,000 fine to the captain and USD 10,000 to the players.

Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Sourav Ganguly and Delhi Daredevils captain Gautam Gambhir have also been fined USD 10,000 for the first offence.

The Indian premier League has become very stringent this year when it comes to slow over rates and several eyebrows have been raised about the heavy fines. It is not just the captain who bears the brunt for repeated offences. Like in Kings XI's case, the third offence was followed with a fine of USD 20,000 for each player.
