Six Indian cricketers involved in a pub brawl with fans in St Lucia after India's T20 World Cup debacle, were issued show cause notices on Tuesday by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

BCCI issued the show cause notices to Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, Rohit Sharma, Piyush Chawla and Ravindra Jadejau00a0for their alleged involvement in the brawl.

Board's no-nonsense stanceu00a0came after Biswal met President Shashank Manohar and secretary N Srinivasan to give them a first-hand account of the happenings.

The Board had instructed players not to step out of their hotel rooms after 9:30 pm. If they needed to go out for a meal, special permission from manager Ranjib Biswal had to be taken. Biswal was given a free hand by the board on this.
