The state-of-the-art spider camera maybe making television viewing a great experience, but for cricketers on the field, it could be a hindrance.

Delhi Daredevils' David Warner, who was fielding at mid on, was visibly upset when the hovering camera came very close to him as the bowler was about to bowl. He immediately complained to the umpire.

Later, Pune Warriors skipper Yuvraj Singh too seemed upset with the camera coming in the line of sight while he was batting.

The aerial camera is suspended with the help of four cables that are tied to the floodlight pillars.
The same set of cables is used to control the movement of the camera, which gives the viewers the feel of being in the middle of the action.

In the past few games at the DY Patil Stadium, the players had objected to the aerial camera coming too close to the playing field.
