After watching India thump Australia by 99 runs in the second ODI yesterday, the national selectors led by Kris Srikkanth decided to retain the same team for the next two ODIs to be held in Delhi and Mohali.

"I think after watching how the team played today, everyone will agree that there is no need to make any changes to the team," the former India skipper told mediapersons yesterday.

"The team has defeated a tough team like Australia comfortably and we are very happy with the performance," Srikkanth added.

The former India opener also said the win was a complete team effort and showed the strength of the side.

"Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag gave us a good start and that was very important. And then, the likes of MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina did their bit to help India to a huge total. Even in the bowling department, everyone got wickets. Everyone chipped in and that was a great sign for us," he added.

While India's problems seem to be diminishing with Ishant Sharma also showing signs of getting back to form, Australia's worries are mounting.

With James Hopes and Brett Lee out with injuries, they might miss the third ODI in Delhi on Saturday.

In-form opener and wicketkeeper Tim Paine will also be flying home after injuring his left hand while trying to collect a bouncer from Peter Siddle. "Paine will fly back as soon as possible and we are still not sure whether Lee will be fit for the next game. The selectors will decide on a replacement for Paine and hopefully he will be with us as soon as tomorrow night," Ponting said yesterday.

Australia started as favourites in the seven-match series but the way things have panned out for the world champions, they no more appear to be in the driver's seat.
