City clinched the trophy last year with Yaya Toure scoring the winner at Wembley. This time however, Stoke will look to grab on to the home advantage at the Britannia Stadium.
City made Round Four with a comfortable 3-0 win at home against Watford earlier this month, thereby adding to a five-game winning streak.
The reigning Premier League champions have thus managed to close the gap on EPL leaders Manchester United to five points. City have won seven of their last eight games in all competitions.
Stoke meanwhile, advanced to the fourth round beating Crystal Palace 4-1 in extra-time, with Jonathan Walters scoring both goals.
Both teams have met twice this season, with City winning 3-0 at home earlier this month, while Stoke held them to a 1-1 draw at the Britannia in September.u00a0
