Air India added another honour to their list when they beat Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) by 28 runs in the first All India Public Sector T-20 cricket tournamentu00a0 which concluded at the Total Vengsarkar Cricket Academy yesterday.
Stellar performances from Chandan Madan (61 not out) and off spinner Ajit Chandela (4/24) helped Air India clinch the title. Air India scored 156 for 6 in a low scoring match and managed to bundle out their rivals for 128.
Earlier, the champions struggled to cross the 150 mark but some disciplined batting by Sushant Marathe (25) who put on 50 runs for the second wicket with Dinesh Salunke (19) helped matters. Salunke, who plays for the Rajasthan Royals kept his aggressive instincts in check.u00a0
BSNL's Joginder Singh scored a brisk 31 off 14 balls with a couple of sixes and three fours.
