Contrary to reports, Rahul Dravid and other senior players will not announce their retirement soon. "The team management categorically denies this. Reports about senior players retiring are baseless," team manager G S Walia told reporters here.

"Some reports have said that senior players will retire after this series. No such thing has happened yet. This is a decision that they will take. These are rumours created by the media," said Sehwag, who led India in the fourth and final Test against Australia because of regular captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's over-rate ban which was announced after the Perth Test.

There were reports about VVS Laxman having played his last Test too. The spectators at the Adelaide Oval had a picnic on Saturday. The gates were open to public who got to watch the last four Indian wickets to fall.

After the game ended, they went over to the Torrens river to enjoy the rest of the day. Victorious captain Michael Clarke said that though his bowlers endured a heavy load, some of them were ready to bowl their hearts out in the one-day series starting in the first week of February. There is a possibility of former captain Ricky Ponting featuring in the ODI competition.
