Jemimah Rodrigues continued her fine form by scoring her second consecutive ton and claiming 4-34 as Mumbai beat Uttar Pradesh (UP) by 29 runs in the BCCI's women's U-19 one-day league and knockout tournament at the J Narendranath ACA Cricket Ground, Perecherla yesterday.
Batting first, Mumbai scored 198-8 in the allotted 50 overs. Rodrigues' 147-ball 128 knock was laced with 16 fours and one six. Tanu Kala and Rishika Yadav claimed 3-41 and 2-39 respectively for UP. In reply, UP were dismissed for 169 in the final over. Muskan Malik (46) and Ekta (58) gave UP a solid start but could not capitalise after the openers added 91 for the opening wicket. Fatima Jaffer claimed 4-32 for Mumbai, while Janhvi Kate and Sayali Satghare picked one wicket each.
